Submission Process via OJS – JABM

Step 1. Register / Login

  • Open the JABM website.
  • Click Register if you do not yet have an account.
  • Complete author information:
    • Full name
    • Institution/Affiliation
    • Email address
    • Username and password
  • If already registered, click Login and enter your credentials.

Step 2. Start a New Submission

  • After logging in, open the Dashboard.
  • Select New Submission.
  • Choose the appropriate journal section (if available).

Step 3. Submission Requirements Checklist

Authors must confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • The article fits the scope of business and management applications.
  • The manuscript follows the JABM author guidelines and template.
  • Ethical and publication requirements are fulfilled.

Step 4. Upload Submission Files

Upload the required documents:

  • Main manuscript file (Microsoft Word format)
  • Supplementary files (if requested), such as:
    • Figures/tables
    • Cover letter
    • Similarity/plagiarism document (if requested)
    • Additional supporting files

Step 5. Enter Metadata

Complete article metadata carefully:

  • Article title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords (maximum five)
  • Author information
  • Affiliations
  • Corresponding author details
  • References (if requested by the system)

Ensure names, affiliations, and email addresses are entered consistently with the manuscript.

Step 6. Confirm Submission

  • Review uploaded files and metadata.
  • Click Finish Submission.
  • The system will display a confirmation that the manuscript has been successfully submitted.

Step 7. Editorial Screening

After submission:

  • Editorial team checks scope, format, completeness, and originality.
  • Manuscripts not following guidelines may be returned for correction before review.

Step 8. Peer Review Process

  • The Editor assigns a Section Editor.
  • At least two reviewers evaluate the manuscript.
  • Review uses a blind peer-review process.

Possible decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Step 9. Revision Submission

If revisions are requested:

  • Login to OJS.
  • Open the active submission.
  • Upload:
    • Revised manuscript
    • Response to reviewers (if requested)

Step 10. Final Decision and Publication

  • Accepted manuscripts proceed to editing and publication stages.
  • JABM currently applies article processing charges (APC) of IDR 2,000,000 for accepted articles and does not charge submission fees.

Important note before submission

  • Since 1 January 2024, JABM only accepts articles written in English.
  • Use APA style references (current guideline).
  • Manuscript length: 12–16 pages.
